Petroleum Engineer (Studies)

Our client, a leading onshore Oil & Gas company in UAE is looking for a Petroleum Engineer who will be a Graduate in Petroleum Engineering with minimum of 10 years Well engineering experience in Oil and Gas industry including conceptual Well Design, new technology development and preferably Petroleum Engineering Experience. Must be a computer literate with good spoken and oral English knowledge.

The incumbent will be in charge of identifying & evaluating new technology and developing new well designs or completion concepts that will assist Petroleum Engineers in maximizing the value of field development plans by reducing cost per barrel, optimizing reservoir drainage and enhancing life cycle value.

Main duties include the following:

Ensures that all HSEMS policies are adhered and that are effectively employed in his domain. Effectively manages the communication strategy between the Study group and Drilling division. Performs primary role in developing the company’s drilling manuals. Shall actively participate in the Value Challenge Workshops and Post production reviews organized in the context of Well Delivery Limit (WDL) initiative to identify opportunities for improvements and bring forward new ideas for value improvement with specific emphasis on well and completion designs including trajectories and placement. Keeps abreast of the company business plan and the individual field development plans for existing and new assets. Performs technical and commercial evaluation of the company’s new technology applications and perform primary support role in WDL Process. The candidate should be capable of developing the appropriate software and procedures to optimize Drilling division’s workflow processes. Shall review the well prognosis on a regular basis to identify alternatives well designs for existing mature assets. Participates in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE national employees.
